Job Opportunity: Production Manager (Brick Manufacturing)

Job Description:
As a Production Manager in a brick manufacturing facility, your role will encompass overseeing and managing the entire production process to ensure efficient operations and the timely delivery of high-quality bricks. You will be responsible for managing various aspects of production, including raw material inventory, staff management, production coordination, stock levels, and product quality control. Your goal will be to maximize productivity, optimize resource utilization, and ensure the consistent production of bricks that meet industry standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Raw Material Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials such as clay, sand, cement, and additives required for brick production
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Implement inventory control systems to optimize stock levels, minimize wastage, and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues.
2. Staff Management
: Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, including machine operators, technicians, and laborers.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise. Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure their continuous development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance related issues. Foster a safe work environment and promote adherence to safety protocols among the production team.
3. Production Management:
- Plan and schedule production activities to meet production targets and customer demands
- Coordinate with other departments (such as engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance) to ensure smooth production processes.
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency and quality standards. Implement and maintain production procedures, standards, and best practices specific to brick manufacturing.
- Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process and propose and implement improvements
4. Stock Levels and Product Management
- Monitor stock levels of finished bricks and ensure availability to meet customer orders. Analyze sales forecasts and historical data to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand and plan production accordingly.
- Oversee product packaging, labeling, and compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of bricks to customers.
5. Quality Control:
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality bricks.
- Develop and enforce quality standards and procedures specific to brick manufacturing.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and resolve any quality issues. Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in production management within the brick manufacturing industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of brick manufacturing processes, including raw material preparation, molding, drying, and firing
- Familiarity with different types of bricks, their specifications, and quality requirements. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
