The Sub – Regional Marketing Manager – Hospital Consumables & Accessories will be responsible for
- The overall growth of the HCA business through the identification of new and existing business opportunities
- The development of the net sales and contribution margin of the assigned product portfolio in South Africa as well as supporting the SSA Region
- The regional rollout of the assigned product portfolio strategy for Sales & Marketing across the Sub Region;
- The strategic planning - develop, define & implement a clear strategy for revenue and profit growth of HCA aligned to our target markets.
- The regional implementation of the ‘value adding’ elements of the global strategy and driving the Dräger market approach on a regional level in cooperation with the EMEA Marketing, Sales & Service teams
- Ensuring the sub-regional input is incorporated in the global product strategy;
- Development of key relationships - identify, assess, target and actively develop relationships with influential key subject matter expert contacts
- Value selling - identify key decision makers & influencers, and to anticipate customer needs
Develop and implement sub-regional marketing mix strategy for the assigned product portfolio in accordance with the global and sub-regional strategy:
- Implement the global product strategy in the sub-region in line with the Hospital strategies;
- Stay up to date with new trends and developments in the HCA business to support our statement “ Your Specialist in Acute Care”
- Drive business and competitive intelligence with regards to the assigned product portfolio for the sub-region within the global guidelines and process for business;
- Support the sub-regional strategy implementation for the assigned product portfolio with solutions and product support;
- Support sub-regional management team on business planning for the assigned product portfolio.
Drive the net sales and Global Contribution Margin of the assigned product portfolio in South Africa
as well as supporting the SSA Region
- Provide product and specification support to Sales and Area Management for tenders as well as key account development / management activities;
- Define regional counteractions to mitigate business risks for the assigned product portfolio;
- Review the sales funnel and forecasting for the assigned product portfolio on the sub-regional level and conduct Win/Loss, installed base and funnel analysis;
- Identify and drive global marketing mix measures to ensure performance according to business plan, set priorities for action as well as the implementation and follow-up of the actions for South Africa and support for the region.
- Is responsible for product approvals / regulatory affairs/NAPPI codes ( for SA only) and support for the sub-region;
- Setting of local price lists for different hospital groups ( SA only)
- Support non TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) product and quality related issues.
Provide input for the global product strategy:
- Ensure aligned and consolidated regional input in the global product strategy in collaboration with the Regional Marketing Managers and the Global Product Managers regarding CRS (customer relationship strategy) as well as CPM (customer process monitoring) and field trial execution;
- Actively support the Global Product Managers in defining new products and the corresponding service concept in close cooperation with the Services Manager, as well as phasing out products in close cooperation with Sales & Service and Operations.
Provide operational marketing and sales & service support for the assigned product portfolio:
- Actively manage the sub regional product launch in close cooperation with the EMEA Regional Marketing Team.
- Manage the assigned product portfolio on the sub regional level including the entire product lifecycle;
- Work closely with the Marketing Managers for IC, NC and Perioperative Care and drive content development for the assigned product portfolio and the relevant applications;
- Provide 2nd level application and product support to the local Application Specialists and the local Sales organizations;
- Design and execute regular product and strategic trainings and updates in the sub region.
- Facilitate best practice sharing in the region for the assigned product portfolio
- Concept customer webinars and KOL Meetings on regulare base in the sub region
