Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Traffic Coordinator to be responsible and accountable for planning, scheduling, and monitoring of jobs moving in and through the various stages of Marketing and Production between various departments. To ensure that all materials are completed timeously and according to brief. To conduct quality checks on various jobs.
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience as a Traffic Coordinator in an Advertising agency, in-house agency, or other creative environment.
Advantageous:

Job Description:
- Respond to all briefs/workflow input within one day of receiving the brief to confirm the job receipt, ensure communication includes job number for tracking purposes.
- Ensure the job are closed once finalised.
- Ensure all jobs for Graphics Studio team and Production team are added to traffic system and that briefs are complete and contain all necessary information.
- Provide deadline dates and priority flag for each job to review and approve artwork.
- Assist in the development of solutions to workflow delays (e.g., re-assigning jobs based on capacity and putting pressure on tight deadlines.).
- Control in-store and digital list of campaigns – this includes monitoring and prioritizing when deadlines are running late.
- Arrange regular status meetings with Graphic Studio Team and Production Team to review the progress of jobs. Re-allocate resources to keep production on schedule.
- Develop and manage schedules on ClickUp platform for Graphic Studio Team and Production Team to ensure projects are on time.
- Ensure the stages of the project are met according to client brief, resource, and deadline deliverables.
- Monitor current traffic processes and inputting ideas in how to improve current practises where required.
- Coordinate and track status of multiple jobs.
- Ensure that the correct work process is always followed.
- Discuss the scope of work with relevant Managers (e.g. Studio Manager, Production Manager or various Departmental Managers) for planning of workflow.
- Provide weekly feedback to Graphics Studio Manager.
- Follow up on deadline sensitive jobs that are pending approval/feedback.
- Conduct quality checks on DTP Design, Digital Design and Packaging Design jobs to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure all briefs are sent to the correct email and that studio process is followed and adhered to by the business and various agencies.
- Ensure changes on jobs not discussed directly with designers, are added to ClickUp or attached to the job bag for designer
- Liaise with Management and various Departments responsible for inbound workflow on new and upcoming work to effectively plan this into the current schedule.
- Ensure jobs are tracked daily and adequate comments are added to all the jobs on ClickUp for accurate reference by designers and management.
- Build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, including agencies.
- Serve as the key liaison between the various business departments/stores and the Graphic Studio/Production
- Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
