UC Project Manager

The Purpose of your role

Responsible for the overall direction, management, execution, control, and realisation of specific UCaaS projects. Working closely with our partners and internal teams to ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals, following a defined project management framework methodology to meet our customer demands within a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

In addition, there will be a requirement to work on process improvements, provisioning of orders, management of WIP tasks including but not limited to national and international number porting and supplier engagements.

You will understand the vendors, their portals and the products being sold, therefore will have worked in a similar provisioning or project management role in an ISP or Telecoms environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Work on multiple UCaaS projects simultaneously with support from the Numbers and Porting team and

Implementation Engineers.
· Liaising with third party partners and suppliers ensuring that all orders are validated and correct.
· Placing orders via partner vendor portals and by email and monitoring through to completion.
· Work closely with the engineers ensuring smooth deployment and customer satisfaction.
· Attend customer calls, customer video conferences and remotely manage on-site deployments, where required.
· Adhere to and apply required PM methodology.
· Project planning and tracking - including project timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
· Manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects.
· Track and maintain RAID log applicable assigned projects.
· Escalate issues to Technical Director for Comms where appropriate.
· Work closely with relevant stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure effective and efficient realisation of the projects.
· Ensure project documentation is created, current, and appropriately stored.
· Update internal systems, e.g., CRM (Salesforce) and provide reports to management as requested.

Requirements for the role

Essential:
· A good understanding of common telephony and circuit data products (IP Telephony, ISDN, SIP, Fibre circuits, ADSL)
· Previous experience in telephony, number porting and/or contact centre solutions.
· Experience in coordinating work which includes multiple elements to meet a pre-set deadline (order processing, provisioning or similar).
· Experience in managing customer expectations and where necessary, deliver undesirable news in a positive and constructive manner.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Good Microsoft skills (Word/Excel/Outlook).
· Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Project Management
· Knowledge of Project Management techniques and tools
· Experience running a project across the full lifecycle.
· Own office equipment and home office setup

Desirable:
· Qualification in Project Management or equivalent, such as Prince2, APM, Agile
· Working knowledge of Salesforce and MS Teams
· Working knowledge of VoIP, IVR, Call Centre practices, and CRM integrations is advantageous.

  • You will require a reliable home working space, to include power backup if required, a laptop/PC and sufficient internet connection for video calls.
