Job Title: TikTok Content Manager

Industry: Marketing Agency

Hours: Part-time (4 hours per day)

Rate: R16,000 per month

 

We are a specialist recruitment agency currently working on behalf of a fast-growing, creative marketing agency seeking an experienced and passionate TikTok Content Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of lifestyle, fashion, and consumer brands, driving their presence and engagement on one of the world’s fastest-growing platforms.

Role Overview:

 

As the TikTok Content Manager, you will be the strategic and creative force behind all TikTok-related content and campaigns for the agency’s client roster. This role requires a deep understanding of TikTok trends, strong video editing and content creation skills, and a natural ability to translate brand messages into entertaining and engaging short-form video content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement TikTok strategies tailored to each client’s brand identity and campaign goals
  • Create original TikTok content from ideation to execution, including filming, editing, and posting
  • Monitor and respond to TikTok trends, sounds, and challenges to keep content relevant and timely
  • Collaborate with internal teams including account managers, designers, and copywriters to ensure cohesive brand messaging
  • Manage content calendars and ensure consistent posting schedules
  • Analyse performance metrics, generate insights, and refine strategies to drive growth and engagement
  • Identify opportunities for influencer partnerships and UGC (user-generated content)
  • Stay up-to-date with platform updates and algorithm changes to optimise content reach

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing and creating content for TikTok, preferably within an agency or brand-side marketing team
  • Strong creative skills and video editing capabilities using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar
  • Excellent understanding of TikTok culture, audience behaviours, and content formats
  • Strong storytelling ability with an eye for trends and viral potential
  • Comfortable being both behind and occasionally in front of the camera
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A genuine passion for social media and digital culture

Desirable:

  • Experience in influencer outreach and campaign management
  • Background in marketing, communications, or media
  • Knowledge of other short-form video platforms (e.g. Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
