ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa - we are a global BPO company, partnering with a US-based client, who is seeking an individual with USA Substance Abuse Centre experience, to fulfil the role of a Substance Abuse Admissions Intake Coordinator, to work remotely from South Africa.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the intake process for individuals seeking treatment for substance abuse. This role requires a high level of empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. They will work closely with doctors, clinical staff, patients, and their families to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing referrals, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

This is a critical role that requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

NOTE:

  • Working Hours: This role requires you to work US hours (EST) Shifts. Mon - Fri: 16h00pm - 01h00am OR 06h00am - 15h00pm SAST
  • Work Environment: This is a remote role for South African Citizens only
  • Internet: Applying candidates must have fast internet and an available electricity backup system during loadshedding


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments for individuals seeking substance abuse treatment
  • Verify insurance information and coordinate with insurance providers
  • Work closely with clinical staff to facilitate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all admissions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
  • Provide support and guidance to patients and their families during the admissions process
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure a smooth admissions process
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Respond to inquiries from potential patients and their families


Requirements

  • Experience: Must have US or SA substance abuse centre experience in the same or similar role (NOT NEGOTIABLE)
  • Soft Skills: Compassionate and patient phone skills
  • Communication: Excellent English communication skills are mandatory (English as a first language preferred). Must possess strong conversational fluency, comprehension, and clear accent
  • Skills: Proficient in basic computer operations including Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Critical Thinking: Critical thinking skills are essential, particularly when interpreting insurance details and making informed decisions
  • Internet: Ability to work from home (WFH) with uninterrupted internet supply and an electricity back-up system during load-shedding
