Sales Account Manager South Africa – Water Diagnostic

Leave your mark on our world: your job as a Sales Account Manager within our Water business covering South Africa. In this Role

To work closely with our water utilities and laboratories customers to understand their needs, identifying new business opportunities whilst building rapport with a variety of stakeholders. You will ensure that sales and revenue goals are met through developing relationships and executing plans and strategies. You will carry out in-field training & provide technical support, kit demonstrations & participate in the development of forecasts, budgets and marketing strategy.

We encourage initiative and creativity, combined with commitment to careful planning and disciplined execution. You are confident, passionate about customer care, and have a 'can-do' attitude. Your strong persuasive skills and ability to learn product knowledge are the keys to your success.

What do you need to succeed?

  • A Bachelor of Sciences, technology or Master of Sciences, technology in life sciences, biotechnology or environmental sciences;
  • A background in sales is preferable but not essential, and ideally some experiences in water and wastewater;
  • Ability to promote ideas persuasively, be highly motivated and be great at problem solving;
  • Fantastic interpersonal, organizational skills and time management;
  • Flexibility for reactive travel & motivation for a varied work week – expected travel >50% of time in the whole of South Africa;
  • Outstanding communication skills across several stakeholders both internally and externally, able to organize workshops and seminars;
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • You have emotional intelligence, humility, willingness to learn and be able to give and receive feedback constructively;
  • You have high ethical standards and a positive attitude;
