We are looking for a Locum Consultant in Community Paediatrics in the South West of England

The aim to provide a service that is child and family centred in conjunction with Education, Social Services and Child & Adolescent Mental Health. Commitment to a process of continuing development and adaptation driven by the needs of children locally and to exploring and pioneering new ways of improving the health opportunities of children.

This role would be full time (40 hours per week) and would be support our team in reviewing patients being referred under the Neurobehavioral pathways to include both ASD and ADHD.

Start date would be immediate with an initial period of 16 weeks with view to extend

The post holder will be expected to have the abilities to set up and work in a multi-disciplinary team and work with colleagues across the Trust to provide an effective paediatric service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of clinical care to patients
  • Take responsibility for the management of patients
  • Undertake administrative duties as required
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols and guidelines
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements

  • GMC registration
  • Minimum of 6 months experience
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and delegate as necessary
