The I.T technician is responsible for diagnosing computer problems, monitor computer processing systems, install software and perform tests on computer equipment and programs. Technicians may also set up computer equipment, schedule maintenance and teach end users how to use programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose & resolve technical issues.
  • Provide desktop support to all business areas.
  • Follow correct escalation protocols & procedures.
  • Setup & configure new desktops, laptops & other devices.
  • Installing authorised software on desktops, laptops & other devices in line with the company’s policies.
  • Adhering to storeroom maintenance & logging procedures.
  • Resolving service desk requests.
  • Striving to resolve requests in a professional manner within the SLA time frames.
  • Follow OHSA Fire Safety processors & responsibilities.
  • Performing preventative maintenance & communicate results back to management.
  • Upholding & living the Outworx values every day.
  • Work extra hours & overtime to meet deadlines where reasonable.
  • Report any misconduct or breach of the above mention points

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4 level qualification.
  • A+
  • N+
  • MCSA/MCSE
  • Minimum 1 year working experience in I.T
  • Good telephone etiquette.
  • Proficient English writing and oral skills.
  • Able to work day shift and night shift
  • Able to work weekends & public holidays
  • Exceptional listening and information seeking skills.
  • Self-motivated, professional and able to maintain confidence and stability when under pressure.
