Lomeza Underground Mining (Pty) Ltd is looking for hardworking and goal driven Electrician, who will be based at Northern Cape Hotazel area. The qualified and suitable candidates applying for this position should meet the below minimum Requirements:-

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12/Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent

N3 Certificate (Minimum)

Trade Certificate from recognised institution.

MV Certificate (Advantageous)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Achievement of safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance of equipment.

Attend and conduct safety meetings & risk assessments.

Ensure all legal inspections & documentation are kept up to date.

Attend to breakdowns and maintenance of trackless mobile equipment. Ensure that material, spares, and equipment are available as required.

Make yourself available for overtime & standby from time to time in accordance with the requirements of your duty.

Identifying of hazards in your area of responsibility and remedial measures drawn up and implemented to eliminate incidents/accidents.

Records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format.

Ensure effective communication and feedback between yourself, relieving shift and your supervisor.

Performing work with due regard to the requirements stipulated in SOP’s and COP’s.

Completing job cards according to service schedules, inform supervisor of required spares.

Ensure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to apprentices, assistants, and subordinates.

EXPERIENCE

At least 5 years’ or more underground and surface mining experience

At least 5 years’ trade experience as an Electrician

Knowledge of aircons and auto repairs on TMM machines

Experience on Epiroc, Sandvik, Caterpillar, Manitou, SPMs, and Bell equipment.

Experience in centralized blasting system and network.

Experience in underground communication systems e.g leaky feeder.

Other Requirements

A valid code B/EB driver’s license

Medically fit for duty

Good hand-eye coordination [Vienna Test System: Orange+, or Dover Testing System > 65%
