We are currently seeking a highly motivated Business Development Specialist to join our team.
Role Overview:
This role is ideally suited to senior-level sales experts or key account managers with a proven track record of exceeding targets and a strong understanding of the economics of business. As a Business Development Specialist, you will act as a strategic intermediary, connecting businesses with financial solutions that meet their unique cash flow needs. You will negotiate with financial institutions and investors, helping clients optimize their liquidity and achieve long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying Opportunities: Research and identify potential new markets, clients, and partnerships to drive business growth.
- Building Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, stakeholders, and partners to foster long-term collaborations.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with sales teams to create effective strategies for targeting and engaging new clients.
- Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to inform business strategies.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals or pitches to potential clients, outlining how products or services can meet their needs.
- Reporting: Monitor progress against business development goals and prepare reports to communicate performance to management.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective outreach and proposals.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities and develop strategies.
- Needs Analysis: Strong analytical skills to identify client needs to match to the appropriate solution.

Experience and Education:
- Experience: Proven track record (3 to 5 years) in senior sales, key account management, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to exceed targets and drive business growth.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications (NQF 6 or above) in Business, Management, Finance, or Communications are preferred. A National Senior Certificate (NQF 4) is required.
- Technology: Own laptop and cell phone.
