Job Title: Security Officer - Durban

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled armed Security Officer to join our dynamic team nationally. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. This is a permanent position with full-time hours.

Job Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain a secure environment

• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems

• Respond to emergencies and alarms promptly

• Enforce company security policies and procedures

• Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities

• Provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Valid Security Officer licence

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally

• Physical fitness and ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  
  

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
  

Experience

• Prior experience in a security-related role preferred
  
  

Knowledge And Skills

• Knowledge of security operations and procedures

• Ability to use surveillance systems and equipment

• Good judgement and decision-making skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR certification

• Additional security training or certifications

• Must have a matric

• PSIRA registered

• Must have own firearm
  
  

Working Conditions

• Full-time position with expected work hours

• May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Exposure to various weather conditions

• Potential for physical confrontations with individuals
